Times of hardship

 Times of hardship

I see a street woman bottle feeding her baby

To her or the baby the pavement did not matter.

Suddenly the milk turned black in colour

Although the milk tasted the same

Confusion runs through the little ones brains

A loud cry echoed from the side of the pavement

The sound of cry was drowned by this mothers thoughtful whisper "baby my little one please don't cry for I'm sure you are not colour blind".

Understand as well as it is hard to find milk these days even of any colour or kind.

When the sails are torn

 When the sails are torn

Waves so high and seas too rough

The sail torn and the ship about to sink

How is it possible to take me a show

In this sail torn ship

Collecting hands full of water and drinking

Keeping my feet warm with the torn pieces of sail

Now it is wise to halt myself in the deep

And abandon this sail torn ship

The sinking process has slowly begun

Release me now as time has come

Let the deep water drown me now

While your eyes are still closed and bound.

Tomorrow?

 The power is gone

Since morn

As we stifle

Through the day

So warm

A breeze blows through

The window

Feels like a

Comforting balm

A pandemic looms

Across the nation

People dying

No salvation

Whither the future

If ever there

Will be one

Tomorrow

The Covid 19 Backlash

 The Covid 19 Backlash

The shadows of surrow

Haunts me since you left

But I am happy that it happened some years - years ahead.

At the beginning I felt lonely

Enveloped with tears and sorrow

Parting at that time,

I thought was not so real you know.

A few years have gone

I rejoice that you were given an early call

But if it was for now,

It wouldn't be possible to see, touch and cry near you dear one.

I hugged and kissed your motionless body

Even as I knew nothing about

The time seems right you said bye bye

For today it would have been a torcher to soul and mind.

Wearing masks like day time robbers

Thousands are dying inspite of vaccines and cure

Nobody is permitted to visit those wards

I bet you wouldn't have liked to die in circumstances like that.
